Pop Music Genre Research:

-Pop music is any popular music of the present day, and usually in the charts.

-Usually involves a popular artist.

-Evolved from rock and roll.

-Aimed at a youth market.

-Usual instruments used for the music: Keyboard, Drums, Guitar, Bass.

-Usually the music is aimed at a board range audience rather than a particular group and/or community.

-Artist concentrate on recording, production and video rather then live performances.

-Usually a fast, up tempo and beat encourages people to dance. Which is why many music videos have a dance routine.

-Pop has many notable artists. Two of the most famous pop artists were Michael Jackson: King of Pop, and Madonna: Queen of Pop.
